We have been working toward the goal of a homebred, proper, black feathered, homozygous roan for over a decade.  God finally provided!  Moonshine will be replacing our cornerstone, his sire, Nik.  He will grown into a proper cob with hair to spare.  We are especially thrilled that he is Ee, meaning that depending on the color palate of the mare he is bred to, he can produce red and bay roans.  But he will ALWAYS throw his roan gene.  We plan to stan him to the public to approved mares when he matures.  But for now, he is enjoying romping around our Blue Ridge Mountain farm eating and growing on our lush grass.  He is the sweetest boy ever!  Sire and Dam and Grand Sire (Forrest)  pictured below
